How Osteo helped Jnr Smalls

We decided to take Jnr Smalls to the Oestopath after he had his tongue tie cut. I noticed that he was favouring one side of his head, his neck was stuck and just a little off/stiff, and also his colic. After seeking some assistants from you all we chose to go to an Oesto. The Baby Daddy and I both go regularly ourselves and it makes such a difference. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Our first appointment was with Dr Olsen (SUPERSTAR). We had a chat about why we were there, she asked me about my pregnancy/birth, and about the tongue tie. After that she did a psychical examination she then started the treatment. I was so comforted by how calm he was through the treatment. After we had a debrief about what was going on and what we needed to do to help him. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The tie was all fine and wasn’t causing any issues after the cut which was great. His body was tight on one side (Most likely from his position in utrero). We discussed the different stretches to help. We booked a follow up appointment. Jnr Smalls also developed Plagiocephaly (Ohhh that’s a bloody fancy name) it is a misshapen head which formed because he favours one side more than the other. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So, we have had 5 treatments now the first one was when Jnr Smalls was 8 weeks. After every session he does a huge poo and sleeps like a PRO! In the last few appointments he comes home for tummy time and rolls straight away so you can tell his body is relaxed. Oh, AND he never cries in the car on the way home from the appointment which is amazing . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The birth is not only stressful to our bodies as mammas but very traumatic on our smalls musculoskeletal systems.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Things Osteo can help with: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ -Irritability and difficulty sleeping -Excessive crying, restlessness, inability to settle -Feeding difficulties in latching or suckling -Colic, reflux or digestive problems -Asymmetry in head shape (plagiocephaly) -Musculoskeletal and postural imbalances -Movement difficulties transitioning to rolling, crawling, walking etc. -Favouring one side in rolling or turning head -dislike for car rides and the car seat
